ROSEVILLE – PRIDE Industries (PRIDE) is pleased to announce the recognition of Michael Ziegler, Chief Executive Officer of PRIDE, honored with the Long Beach State (CSULB) Nell and John Wooden Ethics in Leadership Award.

 

PRIDE is a social enterprise providing facilities and manufacturing services to businesses and government agencies nationwide while creating meaningful jobs for people with disabilities.

 

Over the course of more than three decades, Ziegler’s dynamic and committed leadership efforts have expanded PRIDE’s mission and transformed the organization into a nationally recognized social enterprise. PRIDE is a notable Best Nonprofit to Work For and a distinguished employer of veterans and other disenfranchised populations.

 

Michael Ziegler joined PRIDE Industries in 1983 and has led PRIDE’s transformation from a small nonprofit into a nationally recognized social enterprise providing services to Fortune 500 companies and government customers. During Ziegler’s tenure as CEO, PRIDE has grown substantially, now operating in many states and is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit employer of individuals with disabilities.

 

Through Ziegler’s visionary leadership, thousands of people with disabilities in California and throughout the nation have connected with their communities, gained independence and meaningful careers.

 

This is the 10th year for the award, which represents John Wooden’s dedication to practice ethical leadership and people who embody integrity when in roles of power. The award along with a $10,000 check is presented to a person or organization that impact their community – local, national, or global – and is built on ethical behavior and visionary leadership.
