PRIDE and HP Inc.
PRIDE Industries has been responsible for the supply chain management program for the Americas at HPI for about 15 years, supporting four different business units within HPI’s commercial printer business – which includes laser jets, wide format printers, and digital presses. The PRIDE team manages the warehousing, logistics, spare part supply chain planning, service support, and procurement.
PRIDE’s program has become an integral part of HPI’s operations, and PRIDE is considered a strategic operational partner for the company.

Headquartered in the Silicon Valley, Hewlett Packard Incorporated (HPI) is a leading provider of printers, PC’s, software and solutions for mid-sized companies and businesses. HPI’s vision is to create technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere.
In 2016, HPI bought Samsung’s printing business for around $1 billion. While this was a positive move for the company long term, it presented an immediate, short-term challenge as the company also acquired all of Samsung’s printing inventory, products and customers over the course of a few days.
The PRIDE team was tasked with transitioning Samsung’s entire Americas install base to HPI in one week – something that typically could take several weeks or months. This aggressive timeline, combined with unfamiliarity with Samsung products and parts, presented PRIDE with a serious challenge that they had to tackle quickly.
The PRIDE Solution
The PRIDE team was committed to meeting HPI’s timelines for the Samsung transition. They quickly created a special transition team with subject matter experts from program management, operations and IT, which kept the lines of communication open between HPI and PRIDE and fostered a seamless effort.
Through dedication and teamwork, PRIDE developed a plan to convert Samsung’s install base and move its products quickly and effectively to ensure the business remained up and running.
“PRIDE Industries has been a longtime partner of HP, supporting our needs in all aspects of supply chain operations including; purchasing, planning, manufacturing, and logistics. I strongly value the work performed by the PRIDE team, they are always responsive and focused on the needs of HP and our customers.”
