Sharon Mendy joined PRIDE Industries in 1996. She is responsible for development, implementation and oversight of rehabilitation programs for diverse populations. Mendy has more than 30 years of experience in developing and implementing programs for people with multiple barriers to employment.
During her tenure at PRIDE, she has managed PRIDE’s Sacramento, South Sacramento, Fairfield and North Sacramento locations and held the position of Director of Re-Entry Services.
Mendy is currently the Vice President of Rehabilitation and is responsible for the hiring and retention of people for the SourceAmerica/Ability One sites at Fort Bliss, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker, JB-MDL, NBVC as well as numerous other sites across the nation. In addition, Mendy is responsible for recruiting and hiring people with disabilities for our new government contracts across the nation. Additionally, Mendy is responsible for Compliance and Auditing for all AbilityOne contracts across the company.
Mendy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from San Jose State University and a Master of Counseling Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from California State University Sacramento.
Mendy is a member of the Board of Director’s for Cottage Housing, Inc. in California.
