PRIDE and Thunder Valley Casino Resort
To accommodate an increasing number of hotel guests, Thunder Valley Casino Resort installed a 6,000-square-foot in-house laundry facility. And to run this new operation, which processes 1,000 pounds of laundry each hour, the casino turned to a reliable partner with a diverse and inclusive workforce—PRIDE Industries.

About Thunder Valley Casino Resort
Thunder Valley Casino Resort is a AAA Four-Diamond premier destination resort in Lincoln, California. This world-class facility hosts a 17-story luxury hotel with 408 rooms and 46 suites, as well as a large banquet and entertainment hall, meeting rooms, bars, a pool, a full-service spa, and a gift shop.
As the region’s premier luxury hotel and casino, Thunder Valley hosts 3.1 million guests annually. There’s a lot of laundry with so many visitors, and Thunder Valley was sending it to a facility 90 miles away in Napa, CA, for cleaning. In 2019 Thunder Valley decided to build an in-house facility, to improve quality control and eliminate shipping time and costs. The next step was to hire a company that could reliably handle a high work volume and effectively supplement its workforce.
The PRIDE Solution
Right away, Thunder Valley knew PRIDE Industries was the perfect partner. Headquartered 15 minutes away, their reputation for quality, competitive services, and social responsibility was well-known. PRIDE’s skilled Outsourced Workforce Solutions teams, including people with disabilities, or barriers to employment in the community, was the best solution for operating Thunder Valley’s state-of-the-art laundry room. This win-win situation provided Thunder Valley with a reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic workforce. Training started immediately, sorting, disinfecting, cleaning linens, neatly folding sheets and pillowcases at a rapid pace, meeting quality standards, and providing an essential high comfort level for guests.
“PRIDE’s partnership and commitment help Thunder Valley achieve our goals with quality results while providing opportunities and training for people with disabilities in the community.”
