ROSEVILLE – PRIDE Industries will unveil its new Electronics Manufacturing Plant during an Open House event on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at its Roseville, CA headquarters. The event will showcase the organization’s significant investment in new technology and equipment designed to drive quality and efficiency in today’s highly competitive Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) market.
PRIDE now offers the area’s only state-of-the-art EMS plant, equipped with comprehensive, modular solutions for quick change requirements, a high level of project customization, critical process validation and serial and lot traceability for full inventory accountability and control. The new capabilities are designed to provide scalable solutions to customers’ needs – from prototype development to volume production.
New equipment purchases include two new state-of-the-art Juki SMT lines, Cyberoptics’ Inline Solder Paste Inspection, Landrex’ Inline Automated Optical Inspection, the Nordson Dage XD7600NT X-Ray Inspection System and the Juki WS620 for Flex Soldering. These cutting-edge equipment investments provide essential advantages in product development, ensuring designs for greatest manufacturability and the most efficient production possible. Serial and lot traceability capabilities provide full inventory accountability and control.
“Not only will we be able to offer Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) a higher level of service and quality, we think it is critically important that OEM’s have highly competitive on-shore solutions as off-shore manufacturing becomes more problematic,” says Steve Twitchell, VP Sales Operations for PRIDE Industries. “With these additional capabilities, we are also positioned to help large international companies open new markets with products manufactured in America.”
As an EMS provider, PRIDE Industries provides complete product lifecycle management from product development to volume production. A high level of customer support through project-dedicated engineering teams distinguishes the organization which has received important recognition including the ML100 Manufacturing Leadership Award in 2012 for Game Changing Technology. In addition, an important value-add is PRIDE’s ability to provide award-winning supply chain, contact packaging, fulfillment and logistics as a single-source provider – helping OEM’s get to market faster with greater efficiency and accountability.
“This investment will help us stay ahead of the competition as a first-rate EMS provider,” says John Vaughan, SVP Manufacturing and Logistics Services. “Equally important, we believe that the best return on this investment is more high tech jobs for people with disabilities, in support of PRIDE’s mission.”
