General Information

PRIDE Industries offers referral-based employment services. We accept referrals from the California Department of Rehabilitation, Alta California, North Bay, and San Diego Regional Centers, or Social Security’s Ticket to Work. Referrals from the Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center, or Social Security’s Ticket to Work, can be emailed to referrals@prideindustries.com.

PRIDE Industries Youth Employment Services (YES!) Program provides career and educational support services to Opportunity Youth, 16 to 24 years of age, who are at risk of disconnection or are disconnected from education or employment. Opportunity youth include youth with disabilities, experiencing homelessness, current or former foster youth, and living and/or attending schools in communities of concentrated poverty and other barriers to employment. Career and Educational support services are offered in person, and remote services are offered in Placer and Sacramento County. Career and education preparation training for students with disabilities ages 16-21 is provided in the following counties (remotely and with some hybrid availability): El Dorado, Lake, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Shasta, Stanislaus, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties. These services do not require a referral from the Department of Rehabilitation or Regional Center.

Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is for Californians with disabilities to obtain and retain employment and maximize their equality and ability to live independently in their communities. California Regional Centers provide diagnosis and assessment of eligibility and help plan, access, coordinate, and monitor the services and support needed for a developmental disability. For general information on Regional Center services, visit the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) website or contact your local Regional Center Regional Center Listings – CA Department of Developmental Services To prevent the loss of social security benefits once you gain employment, connect with a Regional Center service coordinator.

Social Security’s Ticket to Work (Ticket) program supports career development for people ages 18 through 64 who receive Social Security disability benefits (SSI or SSDI) and want to work. The Ticket program is free and voluntary. It helps people with disabilities move toward financial independence and connects them with the services and support they need to succeed in the workforce. What to expect when you contact our Helpline

Our service area includes Sacramento, Roseville, San Diego, Fairfield, Grass Valley, Auburn, Woodland, Chico, Yuba City, and Placerville.

Once you contact the Helpline via phone or web form submission, you can expect the following:

If you are in our California-based service area or PRIDE Industries has jobs near you, a Helpline representative will call you within 3 business days, to explore your needs. This conversation typically lasts 15 minutes. We are experiencing a high volume of requests and are working diligently to get back to you as quickly as possible. If you don’t hear back within five business days, you can email us at peoplewithdisabilitieshelpline@prideindustries.com

If you are outside our California-based service area, and PRIDE Industries does not have jobs near you, you will receive an email within five business days, with links to government and community resources, job boards, job centers, and other helpful resources in your area.

If you are in our California-based service area, a Helpline representative may schedule a telephone appointment with you and a staff member so you can learn more about PRIDE Industries programs and services for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. These programs and services are by referral only.

We accept referrals from the California Department of Rehabilitation, Alta California, North Bay, and San Diego Regional Centers, or Social Security’s Ticket to Work in our service area. Referrals from the Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center, or Social Security’s Ticket to Work can be emailed to referrals@prideindustries.com.

Following your appointment, our staff will email you the contact information for your local Department of Rehabilitation and/or Regional Center so you can apply for services, along with other community resources that may be helpful on your journey to employment. The application process can vary between agencies. Department of Rehabilitation may take 3 months or longer to approve services. Regional Centers may take 6 months or longer to be approved for services.

If you are approved for services and have a referral from Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Centers, or Social Security’s Ticket to Work call (844) I-AM-ABLE or (844) 426-2253 to connect with an Employment Specialist or Case Manager to begin the intake process.

No matter what you’ve been through, we can help you put the basics in place, starting with safe housing and other essentials. Together, we’ll ensure you know which organizations to contact for the right support. Then, once you’re settled, we’ll offer guidance for job training, placement and other services.
