Programs for employment and independent living

Access, Inclusion, and Choice for People with Disabilities.

Since its inception in 1966, PRIDE Industries has stood for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce. We believe that everyone has talent, and that all people can make significant contributions in the workplace. Our goal is to help working-age Americans with disabilities leverage their unique abilities to build meaningful careers. To do this, we offer a wide range of services, including job training, placement, on-the-job coaching, and skills development for independent living. Together with our employment partners, PRIDE Industries builds inclusive, diverse work environments where people with disabilities can thrive.

Our Job Developers work closely with candidates to find the right employment opportunity, whether that position is with PRIDE Industries or with one of our many employment partners.

On-the-Job Coaching

Our Job Coaches help workers succeed and grow in their careers by explaining new tasks, facilitating communication with the employer, and ensuring proper workplace accommodations.

Independent Living Services

For those individuals who would benefit from life skills education, we offer a person-centered curriculum that covers more than 300 essential topics. Our instruction is tailored to meet each individual’s needs, capabilities, and goals, and covers a multitude of self-care and self-advocacy skills. CARF Accredited Seal for PRIDE Industries

3-Year CARF Accreditation

PRIDE Industries holds the prestigious three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an international, nonprofit health and human services accreditor. This recognizes that we have made a specific commitment to put the needs of our participants at the center of the services we design and deliver, and that we strive to continuously improve efficiency, fiscal health, and service quality and delivery.

In part, this accreditation recognizes PRIDE Industries for:

  • Providing excellent employment services, employee development services, and employment planning services.
  • Being highly regarded in the community and building positive relationships with partners and employees.
  • Holding safety as a high priority.
High satisfaction from persons served, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Longevity of leadership, which provides continuity to the organization’s mission.
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

CARF accreditation means that the CARF-accredited provider is committed to reducing risk, addressing health and safety concerns, respecting preferences of individuals (cultural or otherwise), and providing the best quality of care possible. It also shows that the accredited organization values the feedback and input of their customers with disabilities and is accountable to the community. And, finally, accreditation demonstrates that an organization has opened its service delivery and business processes to outside scrutiny to improve the quality of its programs.
