Opportunity youth are those aged 16-24 who are disconnected from school and employment due to life experiences like disabilities, poverty, involvement with the juvenile or adult justice system, foster care, or other barriers. The future just got brighter for opportunity youth looking for work in Sacramento and Placer Counties. PRIDE Industries’ Youth Employment Services (YES!) program launched January 12 our Job Hub in Citrus Heights. Chief Workforce Inclusion Officer Dr. Jennifer Camota Luebke tells Good Day Sacramento about the program to enable foster youth, people with disabilities, and others facing barriers to employment to gain the skills they need to find employment and live independently.
